Pauntley Court has always been at its finest when it’s filled with love, laughter and the promise of magical memories being created – so much so, that one day just doesn’t seem long enough! An intimate weekend wedding offers you and your loved ones the chance to really make yourselves at home at our Gloucestershire wedding venue, with the chance for your guests to get to know one another while relaxing and having fun. We encourage our couples to extend their stay here at Pauntley Court and there are oodles of reasons that will tempt you…
The Accommodation
Cosy furnishings, carefully considered interiors and the perfect space to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life – the accommodation at Pauntley Court awaits! It has all the modern luxuries you’d expect from a 5-star property without losing any of its charm, history and character. There are 10 large bedrooms and 9 modern bathrooms across the main house, the wing and the Dovecote, so your guests can party the weekend away with you before diving into our sumptuous beds. For guests who have also travelled further afield, they’ll hugely appreciate the extended welcome.
For your bridal suite, choose from the romantic Elizabethan wing, Elinor Fettiplace or the 16th Century Dovecote, sitting just before the main house. Either are perfect places for you to relax and unwind ahead of the celebrations, where you can then spend the night with your new husband or wife. There is so much choice!
The Grounds & Gardens
From the lake, fields and resident chickens, Pauntley Court is so much more than just a wedding venue! The extensive outdoor space means you can chill out with your friends and family in the sunshine, while the children will be happy playing lawn games, tennis or meeting the animals. Why not wrap up warm and explore the countryside? The options really are endless…
Pre-Wedding Party / Post-Wedding Brunch
Enjoy a sit-down dinner with your loved ones in the elegant ballroom or in the rustic flower room, whilst indulging in delicious food and drink ahead of the big day. This gives you and your guests the chance to enjoy an intimate setting and really savour the moment here at Pauntley Court. The morning after the wedding, you could enjoy a scrummy brunch in the flower room, under the hornbeam arches or under the stretch tent – there’s no rush for you and your guests to head home just yet!
Extend the Excitement
Having a longer wedding means that the build-up is even more exciting! When everyone arrives on the Friday, there will be such a buzz in the air and it really is wonderful to experience the atmosphere. Nothing beats knowing that you’re getting married in the morning, especially when you’re surrounded by your nearest and dearest!
Set-Up Time
The beauty of a weekend wedding is the fact that you don’t have to rush to get everything done in one day, including setting up! You’ll have exclusivity of Pauntley Court from Friday – Sunday, so you can spend the day on Friday setting up without any stresses. In fact, you’re welcome to do it with a cocktail in hand and the sunshine beaming down – it doesn’t get much better than that, does it? The morning of your wedding is meant to be truly special and memorable for all of the right reasons – not for rushing around and worrying!
Make Pauntley Court Yours
Last but not least, a weekend wedding means you can really make Pauntley Court ‘yours’ for the weekend. We want our beloved Gloucestershire venue to feel like a home from home for both you and your guests. You can spend your time how you want, using the space as you wish – without a time limit!
Your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gather everyone you adore in one place, so why limit it to just one day? You could have a weekend full of fun and activities, or you could simply savour the gift of ‘time’ together in the most beautiful of settings. The choice is yours, get in touch with us to find out more.
